Where?
On
the beautiful rapids (Kukkola, Matka, Vuento, Kattila and Korpi)
of the famous salmon river, Tornionjoki. The fishing place depends
the stage at which the salmon have progressed up the river.
When?
In
summer 1st June - 15th August
Salmon are protected from Monday at 7 p.m. to Wednesday at 7 p.m.

What
do you do, and how?
Doing
things together is pleasurable and a fishing trip together
with a family member provides valuable experiences which can be
remembered long after the fishing trip.
Fishing
takes place on the shore under the guidance of a local
fishing guide and it is safe. The fishing guide tells you the fishing
tricks as well as providing you with the necessary information on
fishing and living habits of different kind of fishes, such as salmon,
trout and grayling and additionally where to find them.
The
fishing methods are both fly-fishing and lure-fishing, and
the guide provides you with his special knowledge of salmon fly-fishing.
During the trip you also learn useful skills which help you to survive in
the wilderness. You can enjoy the beautiful nature and have a cup of
coffee while listening to fishermen's tales. Also sample some outdoor
cooking.
As
we are spending a night in a tent a sleeping bag of your
own is needed.
The
fishing trip includes:
- guidance
in salmon-fishing
- the
fishing licence for the river Tornionjoki for one day
- transportation
to the rapids
- coffee
and tea
- tent-accommodation
in the forest
A
refrigerator, a fly-binding bench, a coffee maker,
a water boiler and a small TV are available in the car provided.
